When installing and using a FinSteam gas sauna heater, all installation requirements must be strictly followed. These requirements are mandatory and relate especially to ventilation, safety distances, and gas installation.
The heater must not be used in saunas where the ventilation requirements are not met.
There must be an unobstructed fresh air intake vent located near the heater. Minimum free air intake area: 350 cm²
Examples:
Rectangular openings: 200 × 175 mm or 250 × 140 mm
Circular opening: diameter Ø 210 mm
An exhaust air vent must be installed in the opposite upper corner of the sauna, either on the wall or in the ceiling. Minimum free air intake area: 200 cm²
Examples:
Rectangular openings: 200 × 100 mm or 142 × 142 mm
Circular opening: diameter Ø 160 mm
The minimum safety distance to combustible materials is 500 mm.
This distance may be reduced by installing a non-combustible protective wall, such as metal, glass, stone, or a similar protective barrier.
The heater is manufactured in accordance with national gas regulations and must only be used with the gas type and pressure specified for the unit.
Approved gas pressures: 30 mbar or 37 mbar, depending on national requirements.
Supported gas types:
G30 (butane)
G31 (propane)
G20 or G25 (natural gas)
The gas regulator must be CE-approved and rated at either 30 mbar or 37 mbar, according to national regulations and the heater specification.
The gas hose must be suitable for the specific gas type, CE-approved, and have an inner diameter of 9–10 mm.
The maximum hose length, according to national regulations, is 120–150 cm.
The heater must not be connected to a chimney or any flue system.
The gas bottle must be installed safely outside the sauna.
